]]>Now, does this make sense to you? Lisa campaigns on how much she supports President Trump, but did not cast a vote for him. Not only did Lisa not bother to vote for our President, she did not vote for any government leaders in Nevada but expects us to believe that she would be a good elected leader for Nevada and at the highest-level of government at that. It sounds to me like Lisa Song Sutton woke up one day and decided that adding the title of Congresswoman would be a good idea since — much like how a winner gets crowned at a beauty pageant, in some ways she’d just have to show and be the shiniest one in the competition; in other words, all style and no substance. What’s rather comical is that despite the numerous appearances and modern-day influencer behavior Lisa seems to be comfortable showing odd, she never properly mentions her title for Miss Nevada at any point — which would be “Miss Nevada United States” since she won in the Miss United States pageant system which is unlike the 2 major pageant systems in the country and does not air on major cable networks nor used to belong to President Trump when he was a private citizen. What’s even more disingenuous is the manner in which she flaunts her supposedly vast number of community appearances and purportedly being very involved in the Las Vegas community; however, she never discloses that all of those public appearances were part of the duties required of almost any pageant titleholder.
Any which way you look at it, it appears to the layperson that Lisa’s penchant for covering up things goes well beyond her lack of a voting record.
So, we should be left wondering: why is this woman pursuing public office when she hasn’t even taken the time in TEN years to perform her civic duty — which is the sacred exercise of voting, a civil liberty that generations of Americans have fought for and died for us to have?!
The audacity. The deception. Lisa’s coverup falls along the same lines of atrocious behavior countless politicians have been known for.
Given her lack of a Nevadan voter record and her questionable “modeling” photographs on the internet (that I’d be shocked for my young son to find in a simple Google search), I’ve called on Lisa Song Sutton to end her Congressional bid. She has yet to respond. In fact, she completely dodged the question when I challenged her about this issue during the Nye County Republican Central Committee debate a week ago.
Lisa’s pathetic excuse about being “too busy” to vote demonstrates how little the 19th Amendment of our Constitution matters to her. Ironically, this year marks 100 years since American women gained the right to vote! What a disservice it would be to our great state and our nation as a whole to send a phony, wannabe leader to Washington, DC to supposedly represent our interests.
Look, let’s call this what it is: Lisa’s complete lack of civic engagement and subsequent deception around it is indicative of a larger trend that’s pervaded American politics for too long.
What’s that trend? Well, simply put: it’s that of back room deals and two-timing politicians who cannot at all relate to the plight of their fellow Americans.
Unfortunately, Nevada CD-04 has been disgraced by the representation of dubious characters more often than not. In the recent past, former Congressman Ruben Kihuen, a Democrat, did not seek re-election after credible allegations of sexual harassment. His successor, the incumbent Congressman Steven Horsford, is another Democrat who also covered up engaging in immoral and unethical behavior. Less than two weeks ago, I called on Congressman Steven Horsford to step down when he confirmed allegations of a longtime extramarital affair with a woman who was an intern for Democrat Senator Harry Reid.
Again, the audacity. The deception. When will it end?
These politicians believe we’re too dumb to recognize what’s really going on; so, they’ll continue to hide, lie, cheat, and possibly even steal all the while from us as they smile and campaign to secure our votes in order to get their golden ticket to a seat in Congress. They look at public office as a career instead of what it should be: service for the public good.
I ask you, my fellow Nevadans: how long will we allow ourselves to be embarrassed by the antics of dishonest and disingenuous politicians like those Democrats who were supposed to be representing us in Washington, DC? How long will we allow fellow Republicans, who say they’re with President Trump yet never before supported or voted for him, to pull the wool over our eyes?
Take a look at some of my Republican primary opponents and you’ll see some of the same swampy, establishment politician behavior that’s led this current Congress to an approval rating that teetered around 17% last summer. Yes, you read correctly: only 17% of our fellow Americans thought Congress was doing a good job.
Something has to give. Something must change.
I made the decision to step into this race to represent NV-04 not just because I DO NOT see many – if any – other mothers of young children like me stepping up to do so, not just because I DO NOT have a wealthy family backing me, and NOT just because establishment Republicans in Washington would be listening to high-powered lobbyists in endorsing my competitors.
No, it was not because I simply wanted to cast a light on all that’s missing in Washington that I decided to run. Yes, it’s true, people like us are missing from the halls of Congress: people who have young children that they’re currently having to homeschool while juggling jobs (or lack of a paycheck) due to the COVID-19 pandemic, people who do not have more than a few thousand dollars to their name but dream of opening their own businesses one day, and people who do not have the phone numbers of big-money paid suits on on speed dial. No, we’re not like those folks.
We are red-blooded, blue-collar Nevadans and we deserve better leaders.
Unfortunately, more than half of my Republican competitors are not like us. They fit into those boxes. They subscribe to identity politics (something I’ve always believed was a good thing for our party to NOT engage in), speak out of both sides of their mouth, think there’s nothing wrong with self-funding, and so much more.
So, why am I even in this race you may ask?
You.
I’m running for you. This race has always been about serving my family, your family, and our community as a whole. Not only do I believe we need representation in Washington, DC that speaks to our values, but I think that representation should know what our struggles are as well. Most of my opponents could not have a full conversation with you about their ideas and solutions to help Nevada get back on track; instead they’ll be happy to spout off to you the many safe, easy talking points provided to their campaign from the Republican National Committee.
We can and should reject these political puppets and tell them no more.
Why? Because gone is the era of having to prove how pro-Second Amendment you are or having to tout endorsements from politicians who were elected in the 1970s.
This is the era of change, and that’s exactly what President Donald J. Trump ushered in and has given us so far. Real change we can believe in.

Las Vegas, NV — Today, Randi Reed, Republican candidate for Congress, called for Horsford’s resignation in light of affair revelations.
“Nevadans deserve better representation in Washington, DC — leaders who demonstrate a commitment to good character, integrity, and the highest morals,” said Randi. “Congressman Horsford’s extramarital acts disqualify him to represent NV-04.”
She also stated, “Not only are his numerous absences and abysmal voting record a bad reflection of our state, this newly-uncovered reprehensible behavior proves he is incapable of making good decisions. Like scores of politicians before him, he to seems to have the attitude that being an elected official somehow means he’s entitled to these types of indiscretions. It’s abundantly clear that Congressman Horsford has forgotten the true meaning of public service and should resign immediately.”

]]>It’s quiet.
As you drive down Las Vegas Boulevard, the lights are on, illuminating messages of hope and unity.
But the one thing that makes Las Vegas unique is missing, the people.
The sidewalks are empty, and the dissonant sounds of the strip have vanished. The mixture of voices speaking in many languages, Optimus Prime posing for a picture, the laughter from memories in the making are all gone.
What most of the country doesn’t realize is that Las Vegas is more than just a tourist destination.
It’s home to a diverse, unique, and often overlooked community. There is no bail-out program for Optimus Prime or the troupe of bucket drummers on Fremont. There is no PPP program for industry professionals working for tips. The desperation is growing for the 290,000 hospitality and entertainment workers with each passing day.
Economic hardship impacts Sin City significantly more than most of America’s cities. Our economy is unique, and yet, our leaders are taking a one-size-fits-all approach to plan the re-opening of Nevada.
Although many of us would like to forget the Great Recession of 2008, the pain of ten difficult years still twinges a bit. The economic challenges Las Vegas faced during this time taught our community a powerful lesson. Simply put, when the national economy is struggling, Las Vegas feels this struggle two-fold.
Although the Great Recession officially ended in 2009, Las Vegas still experienced an unemployment rate twice the national average in 2015. Banks stopped lending, multibillion-dollar projects halted mid-construction, and our economy crawled along for an agonizing ten more years. Housing prices hit rock bottom, and foreclosures became a regular part of our lives.
You see, Las Vegas relies on tourists and conventions to form the bedrock of our economy.
When most Americans weather a recession, they make adjustments to their lives as anyone would. Perhaps they skip that extra trip to Starbucks, cancel a gym membership, or, more importantly, stop traveling. While many Americans experience this, it remains isolated to their personal lives.
Las Vegas, on the other hand, feels the weight of an entire nation struggling on its shoulders. Our community does not rely on agriculture, manufacturing, or technology development. Nevada’s tax revenue and wages rely disproportionately on entertainment and travel. When America hurts, Las Vegas hurts more.
When the world is hurting, Las Vegas will feel it longer, and the pain will last longer than any other community.
As Nevada faces another economic downturn, this one projected to be worse than the Great Recession; our community is looking to its leaders for guidance.
This week, Governor Sisolak unveiled additional details for the plan to re-open Nevada.
However, like the previous announcements, this one left us with more questions than answers. It appears that our Governor is including Nevada in a multi-state coalition to guide him through this process.
Obviously, the Covid-19 circumstances are unprecedented, but as Sisolak leans on the Governors of California and Washington, it’s obvious he’s not addressing Las Vegas’ unique economic makeup.
Governor Sisolak is presenting Nevadans with a plan to be executed in phases. However, nothing in this plan discusses Las Vegas’s convention future and ensuring safety for the attendees. Our casinos and hotels that employ hundreds of thousands of people will be among the last businesses to re-open.
As the days roll on, our community grows restless and frustrated. The protests from our community grow more frequent. Members from our community feel pushed aside and ignored. As we attempt to make our voices heard, our leaders ignore our cries for help and brush us off as “extremists”.
Steven Horsford, House of Representatives Congressional District 4, is remarkably absent during his District’s time of need. With heavy travel restrictions and social distancing guidelines in place, it seems Representative Horsford is having a hard time getting to his District from his primary residence in Virginia.
Unfortunately, both Rep. Horsford and his neighboring District’s representative, Susie Lee, both feel that this crisis is an appropriate time to play political games. Both Rep. Horsford and Rep. Lee supported filling the Covid-19 Stimulus bill with expensive and unnecessary funding for organizations and causes unrelated to the epidemic crisis.
In addition to this, both Democrats and Republicans competing for seats in the upcoming 2020 election still consider it appropriate to continue their fundraising efforts during a time of uncertainty. While many Nevadans search for hope and ways to feed their families, callous politicians focus on raising funds for their next direct-mailer blast.
Where are our leaders? Where are the strong voices fighting for us?
We don’t need California’s plan to re-open. We don’t need millions of dollars in disaster relief for the Kennedy Center (and neither do they). Members of Congress don’t deserve a raise! What we need is leadership who recognizes the unique situation and offers real solutions. Not to get elected, but because they are a part of this community and feel the pain of us all.
If we can find that, then maybe, just maybe Nevada can weather this storm and come out stronger on the other side.
Unlike other candidates and incumbents in this election cycle, I recognize the necessity for tailor-made solutions throughout Nevada and throughout this district.
As a business owner and community leader, I not only sees my fellow Nevadans struggling, I absolutely feel your pain as well.
We will get through this together.

]]>My reason for running for Congress is stronger today than it’s ever been before. Why? Because this unconventional moment in time is one that none of us saw coming, and because of that – we’ll need unconventional leadership to help get the lives of all Americans back on track. For far too long, career politicians and spend-it-all Democrats have lied to us about their preparedness to lead us through a disaster of this magnitude.
Our country and our state deserve principled leadership that’s going to apply the very same entrepreneurial skills that countless Americans have employed to help make our country great — to now finally help our President make our government one that serves red-blooded, blue-collar Americans like you and me.
Join the movement to take “The FURY” to Washington, DC this November.
You won’t regret it.
Onward & upward,

]]>This is China’s Chernobyl, and America must hold the country’s government to account. This is not a commentary on the Chinese people. It is an indictment of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). Over 30,000 Chinese Americans reside in Las Vegas, Nevada alone. They’re our American brothers and sisters, and let’s not forget that they pledge allegiance to the same flag that we do. But Nevada’s economy will be hit hard by this pandemic, and we’re abdicating our responsibility if we don’t acknowledge the CCP’s role in how COVID-19 has destroyed our economy, ruined normal social life, and most importantly, taken the lives of nearly 20,000 Americans to date.
As is typical with Communist regimes, the CCP continues to gaslight the world about what happened and who is truly responsible. They paint a picture about their response being effective, and constantly act as if they were not the genesis of Coronavirus. They use sophisticated digital efforts to spread fake news – saying American military is responsible for the global Coronavirus outbreak. They plant fawning articles in Western press outlets which promulgate a narrative about the adequacy of their response and how they lend material support to stricken countries. Americans cannot allow these false claims to go unanswered. Each one of us must demand that our elected officials, at all levels of government – especially Congress, take a tough stance against China as our nation rebuilds, recovers, and heals in the coming months.
Business leaders and policymakers have fooled themselves into believing Chinese leaders are benevolent and useful partners. And, why wouldn’t they? 1.4 billion customers, low wage workers, manufacturing capacity, financing opportunities, and purchasers of American debt.
As the owner and operator of a custom fabrication manufacturing company, I know firsthand how difficult it is to compete against cheap, inferior, and often unsafe Chinese products which flood the American market. Time and time again, they’ve won, and my company has lost. However, some businesses have thrived, some people have become rich, we Americans received cheap products, and Congress was given license to keep on spending the hard-earned dollars of us American taxpayers. Meanwhile, the CCP entrenched themselves in our supply chain, making us reliant on them for everything from iPhones to life-saving medications. They hacked our government records and in turn, exposed background checks of American civil servants with security clearances – including undercover CIA officers in China. They essentially kneecapped American companies when they stole intellectual property and technology from us. On top of that, they’ve used their newfound economic prowess to influence international organizations and become the banker for a great many of the the world’s nations.
There’s a stark reality here, one that’s become very clear as our nation grapples with the effects of this pandemic. And, that is: we have been playing for dividends and cheap goods all this time – while the CCP has been playing for keeps. America has been dangerously dependent on China. And, unfortunately for us, that will continue for as long as the benefits outweigh the bad.
Well, here we are – on the first page of a brand-new chapter in our world’s history. The time has come for the United States to open our eyes. If the Coronavirus hasn’t yet changed your mind about our nation’s economy, the next twenty years will. China’s emergence and our dependence presents a long-term challenge to the United States and our interests. Ad-hoc approaches will not work with an adversary like China. We need to think decades, not days and months, when developing our posture. We cannot contain China the way we did the Soviet Union. They are far too intertwined in the global economy for this approach to be realistic or effective. Unlike the Soviet Union, who primarily wanted to export their political system, the CCP’s primary goal is maintaining control over China. In order to respond we will need allies, pressure, and to take steps that are in our national interest.
There are many policy options, but there are some actions we can take to better position our nation for the road ahead. We must:
It’s not too late to fix this. With open eyes, a long-term outlook, and forceful actions – this crisis can lead to meaningful policy changes that will ensure America remains the leader of the world.
